The Latest Technology for Water Conditioning

THE CHOICE
There are both temporary and permanent water conditioners solutions available. The permanent ‘Chemistry’ based solutions offer long term peace of mind.
Physics based temporary solutions are susceptible to rapid degradation and physical situations may quickly reverse the effect.
If you require softened water, you need a softener. And with that you must accept:
- It will need to be kept topped up with salt, serviced and cleaned regularly.
- There is an increased biological risk.
- You don’t have a need for potable (drinking) water.
- There is a increased corrosion risk.
The are no perfect solutions. When using a water condition device everything that was in the water before treatment is still there afterwards. Nothing is added. i.e. Salt and none of the health minerals are removed. The limescale is simply modified into a non-adherence state.
WHY AQUABION?
THE PROBLEM
Everyday the size of limescale deposits are increasing in buildings throughout the UK. At an unknown point in time, this will have an overwhelming effect on the plumbing system.

THE SOLUTION
AQUABION® is a patented galvanic and electrolytic solution is self-cleaning package. In this process, minute amounts of high-purity zinc ions are released and react with calcite. Calcite crystals are modified into adhesion neutral aragonite, which is simply discharged into the water.
Different to other water treatment units the patented AQUABION® operates without current, chemicals or magnets. The two swirling chambers upstream and downstream agitate the water responsible for the self cleaning effect of AQUABION® unit.
ONE TECHNOLOGY AND ONE STANDARD FOR ALL
- Specific swirling chambers using formed swirling elements made of stainless steel support the principle and the self-cleaning effect
- water as the electrolyte creates the voltage potential within the AQUABION®
- The AQUABION® is protected by a special metal housing made of brass
- The high-purity sacrificial anodes react via zinc ions, bonding CaCo3
- The AQUABION® is pressure resistant up to 16 bar (PB 16) allowing almost universal application.
- Swirling elements made of stainless steel support the ionisation process with AQUABION®
- Pivoted DIN flanges allow for easy installation
The AQUABION® used recyclable materials in accordance with the German Drinking Water Ordinance. All components are tested by the German Association of Gas and Water (DVGW).
Serial sizes with flanges: standard diameter 50 - 250
Special sizes with flanges: up to a standard diameter of 1000

If your property is located in a very hard water area, over time this will have a detrimental effect on your taps, shower heads and boiler. The modern option is to fit an AQUABION. This German manufactured product is increasingly being fitted and has some distinct advantages.
We regularly fit this unique product, and the below Google review explains why:
"We had a S15 fitted and were slightly sceptical about it;s efficiency, but we are very please with it. The kettle is hardly scaled after 3-weeks and the scale that does arise is easily wiped off; the shower area is much clearer of limescale, and the water is better to wash and shower in." - Chris Sims
British Water confirms what many people living in hard water areas know too well.
If you live in a hard water area, doing nothing to counter the problems that limescale causes is probably the most expensive option due to reduced efficiency of water heaters, extra energy required and increased maintenance costs.
What do you think the cost is of doing nothing?

Aquabion Conditioner VS Standard Softeners
Aquabion Conditioner
Aquabion uses zinc sacrificial anodes that release zinc ions into the water reacting with the calcium to form aragonite - a non-adhering lime. By essentially changing the form of the lime, Aquabion effectively prevents future build-up because the lime has lost its desire to stick.
- Stops limescale up to 98%
- Water remains safe to drink - sodium and biology is not added to the water
- No leaks, guaranteed
- Pipes and aluminium heat exchangers in condensing boilers remain protected from corrosion - as sodium is not added to the water
- Maintenance free & worry free. Nothing to go wrong, no moving parts, no electrics
- Easy to install within an hour & the small unit requires no additional space
- The system can easily be moved to another location or house
- 5 year warranty
- 7 year replacement cycle
- Environmentally friendly
- Cheaper to buy & run than high quality softeners
Standard Softener
Standard softeners use sodium to replace the lime. By removing the lime, limescale will no longer form.
- Requires vast quantities of sodium to remove the lime
- Biology (bugs) grow in the room temperature water. Another reason not to drink the water!
- Water immediately becomes unsafe to drink and use for cooking
- Lack of lime and presence of sodium in the water will increase corrosion and damage pipes and aluminium heat exchangers in condensing boilers
- Requires installation of a separate drinking water tap. Recommended by the UK Dept of Health, Water Regulations Advisory Scheme (WRAS) and the UK Water Trade Association (UKWTA)
- Wastes up to 120 gallons of water for every 1000 delivered in the UK
- Complex installation that requires space for the unit and storage for the salt
- Salt has to be bough regularly - regular, additional cost as well as storage required
- Salt has to be mined, processed and transported to its final destination
- Requires disposal of the salt - The salted water is flushed out into the sewers, and from there into rivers and onto the land through flooding and irrigation. This increases the salinity of the soil and reduces its productivity
- 7-8 25kg bags of salt can be needed for a family of 4, per year
